A Weekend In Tahoe

A long overdue post about a short trip!

Right when we arrived in South Lake Tahoe we were greeted by this gorgeous view of a cotton candy colored sunset over Heavenly Ski Resort. So naturally, we had to take a bunch of pictures. But, in all seriousness we were absolutely captivated by the beauty around us and waking up to this view every morning was all that we could hope for.

Where to rent skis/snowboards

If you are beginner or intermediate skiers or snowboarders like we are we recommend going to South Tahoe Ski and Snowboard Rentals for some cheap rentals. The service there is great, but depending on how many people are working there at one time can lead to some long wait times (~30 minutes or more). Make sure to get there early to reserve your gear because they sell out of sizes fast. We got there right when they re-opened at 2:00 pm to get our snowboard and skis.

Sunset to sun down

After spending the day driving to main street Genoa, we made our way back to South Lake Tahoe in time to watch the sunset. We spent our time by the shores of the lake and watched the sky change colors. The surrounding area had lots of lights so we made sure to take advantage of both the natural and man-made scenery.
