If you get the chance to, we’d highly recommend taking a pit-stop to the flower fields in Carlsbad, California. This nearly fifty acre field is open from early March til’ mid May while the flowers are in-season and at their peak. Entry fees are as follows: $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, and $8 for children 3-10. Bring a camera, sunblock, and lots of patience! When you get in, you’re confronted with rows on rows of vibrant flowers in every color under the sun.
Typically the fields are very crowded, but everyone is courteous of each other as they wait to get the perfect shot. Throughout the fields there are designated pathways and spaces carved out in the flowers specifically for picture-taking. Lines to take the pictures range from long to short -the longest we waited was about fifteen minutes. In the end, the wait is a small price to pay to share the gorgeous scenery.
More pictures ahead!
